View Full Version : Trimming
Questioner
December 21st, 2009, 09:35 PM
Recently I've started thinking about shaving DOWN THERE. But I read up on a few other threads and found out that it would be quite the task. The only question that I couldnt get answered was: Would trimming my pubes mean no need to use shaving cream, and wont cause itching? My main concern is the itching.
PS: Do I need to moisturize more after trimming the area, or is the usual bit of lotion enough?
Thanks!

Trimming your pubic hair means using scissors instead of a shaver, it is a lot better some people may say.
It shouldn't cause any itching at all.

It's going to itch.

It will itch either way, because that hair isn't used to much change once you get it.

It will not itch if he trims, it MIGHT itch if he shaves. But I've never had mine to itch after I shaved. And there is no need to moisutrize it after you trim.

I trim, but avoid the itching my using an electric razor and going with the direction of the hairs. I really wouldn't recommend using a manual razor and going against the hairs unless you're prepared for a few days of itchiness.
Also, it's useful to know, that if you go against the hair, but trim every few days, the itchyness subsides.;)

I cant see it being such a hard task, trimming shouldnt cause much itchiness if you get a bath during/after.

If you're shaving, then you will need to be cautious about it, and you will definitely need to moisturize to keep the itch away. However, if you're trimming, there will be no need for lotions or anything.

you can use shaving cream if you want and you probably should the first time i shaved my pubes it itched like hell cause i shaved it wrong but if you shave the right way it wont itch at all number one tip shave with the grain of your pubes not against thats how you get ingrown hairs

If i were you i would trim it with either an electric shaver or VERY CARFULLY with scissors. either way trim it before you even consider shaving, because you might not like having your pubic hair that short. and about the shaving cream/moisturizer, i've found that if you shave with the grain of your hair, then it doesnt itch.
