You must leave a comment for neg rep

So, I went to neg rep someone, and I couldn't really figure out what to leave in the comment box, so I just left it blank.

Then it said I had to leave a comment, so I clicked on the neg rep again and added a comment.

Would this just count as one rep? This probably is really obvious but it kinda gave me the feeling it might count as two.

The system won't submit negative reputation until a comment is given. Reputation can only be applied once to a post by the same person.

To be honest Matt, it would be pretty mean to give -rep, especially with the 36 power you have now, without saying why. You dont have to sign it if you dont want.
