I bought a pair of Sony earbuds last year, and I had never heard a worse sound out of anything before that. They were absolutely awful.
I have heard that Skullcandy are pretty good, but I have no experience with them.
There are people that will hate me for saying this but..... my Bose in-ears are some of the best I have heard, and they are 'on sale' for $80 around Christmas usually.

Erm,i would say skullcandies. But erm bose,sennheiser and monster beats are all loud and awesome,but as you may expect-rather expensive.

I would say the sony gummy's I bought a pair about a month ago and the sound is very clear and for ear buds they have serious bass I can make them loud enough that my family hears the music when im in the car. GUMMYS SONY= 10$ walmart on sale or 20$ not on sale

My Skullcandy Asym put out. They have a larger than average driver. 13mm rather than 9mm, and they fit flat in your ear so they're perfect for when I ride my motorcycle.

Not really earbuds, but give the Sony Dynamic Stereo Headphones MDR-V150s a try. Very good if you like bass, but they are a bit big.

Don't ruin your hearing by listening too loud. But Skullcandy makes some great headphones.

Only if you treat them badly. I had a pair of smokin' buds that lasted for just about two years. My Asym are going on 6 months and still sounds strong.
