Hey guys, I had 2 ingrown toenails (right side on both big toes), and after about a year of having them and being in ultimate pain, I convinced my mum to take me to doctor (they refused to cut them out without a parent there), and a short while after, 2 more arose.
Left side of my big toe (left foot), and the right side of my middle toe (right foot). I don't really want to go back to the doctor. Does anyone have any advice for me on how I can get rid of them myself?
I will soon have another (I can only slightly feel pain) on my right foot, left side of my big toe.
Another question I have, if I was to have the left and right of my toes 'burnt' so I wouldn't grow another nail there, if I was to crack my nail would it grow back?

The best way to get rid of them is to see your doctor and have a total nail ablasion, which is where they remove the whole nail and use phenol to burn to nail matrix preventing nail growth again.
I am meant to be having it but am reluctant myself as I would like to keep my nails but it can be the only option.
You can either visit the doctors and get them fixed or live with the pain.
Unfortunately I couldnt answer your last question.

Generally it will not grow back, my warned me of a few patients who had their nail grow back, but, I've had both sides of both big toes done, and the nail hasn't grown back yet...

when the nails start growing inward/sidewards into your skin. I've had this, then this weird mucus looking stuff grew and stuff, really nasty. Best thing you should do is go to a doctor (there are actually specialists about this stuff), and they'll cut it, and kill the root or whatever and prevent it from growing back. You can cut it yourself but it'll just grow back after some time. There's no other alternative, u have to see a doctor (preferably a specialist).
