If you actualy like and know much about classical music

I personally love classical music. My favorites are Beethoven 9th movements 1,2,4. I also Like Dovark's new world symphony #9, the infamous 1812 overture, the nutcracker, ETC ANd i like almost any movie soundtrack i hear. So tell me if you like classical music and what your favorite is. Tell me how much you know about your favorite!

I love classical music, I do a lot of playing in orchestras and choral singing. I also like watching opera, even though the stories are so silly. I love the great choral works like Beethoven's Missa Solemnis or Bach's St Mathew Passion. The Verdi Requiem is just spectacuar. I also love Elgar's music, his cello concerto is probably one of my favourite pieces.

Schubert's Sonata for Arpeggione and Piano in A Minor,Mozart's Clarinet Quintet in A (played this last year, LOVE it), Parry "An English Suite", and lately anything Dvorak tickles my fancy, particularly his quartets and cypresses.

Don't suppose you'd be an opera fan as well eh? =]

Well, i do listen to Pianist's like Frederick Chopin, Erik Satie, and Glenn Gould. But i could never really get into beethoven.

I don't know that much about classical, but I do listen sometimes. I like ones such as "The Four Seasons" and "The Planets". I also take a liking to some of Mozart's work. This thread has rekindled my interest in classical.

I'm a big fan of Neo-Classical music, one of my favorite artist of the genre being a pianist named Olafur Arnalds.

Absolutly addicted to Shostakovich. i play the clarinet so of course i luv Weber and Mozart (ive actually performed Weber Concertino and exposition of Mozart Concerto). got to luv Beethoven (fav is 4th mov of #5) and Sibelius (partial to Symp #2)
