I cannot believe this made a national news story...
WASHINGTON [D.C.] – A blizzard-like storm rocked the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast on Saturday, crippling travel across the region and causing hundreds of thousands of power outages.
Five deaths appeared to have been caused by the storm system, which stretched from the Carolinas north to New England and also spread into some Midwestern states. The 13 inches of snow that had fallen in the nation's capital by late afternoon was the most-ever for a day in December, while 9 inches had fallen in Philadelphia.

I'm north of phillidelphia, and we've got maybe 5-6in of snow right now.
I guess it's more of a shock for DC and south, where it usually doesn't get cold enough / enough persipitation for that much snow. Most of the deaths are car accidents (no..shit..)

We've been getting it all day, its getting deep outside and the snow is really blowing we got some nice drifts. I'm thinking maybe 10 inches outside.
There is alot Philadelphia and south, north didn't get much. Baltimore and Washington got slammed with about 20 inches.
Its nice it snowed after the joke of a winter we got last year.

I'm in Jersey, and right now we already have a foot and some places are calling for another foot. And it's still coming down like crazzzyyy. <3 I love the snow.

We have about 2" here in Northern Kentucky. But my dad is stranded in Germany because of this storm; Delta cancelled all flights to the eastern coast.

when they say blizzard-like, they so aren't kidding though.
I had to drive earlier.
And literally, you couldn't see ten feet in front of you. Everything's white. Purely snow coming down, and you can't see much else. There are plows everywhere, but even driving behind one the roads are still covered in snow. It's crazy. Absolutely crazy. I've never seen snow like this, haha.

I find it funny how CNN couldn't get their facts straight about the blizzard in D.C. The last MAJOR blizzard to hit that region was in the winter of 95/96. I know because I was in it and have pictoral PROOF. Wasn't really surprised how the airports were closed, but they were considering cutting off the Metroline (which would be a dipshit move).

I live in South Ontario, which is pretty close to jersey and Pennsylvania, and we got absolute shit. Not 1mm, there's only been like 2 times where it had snow, but both times melted pretty quick, now it's just cold and dry. And it seems like it's gonna stay that way, well at least until Christmas.
