Addi, dont let it worry you too much. Your 13 and your hormones are going a bit crazy, who knows what you might be thinking about. Lots of straight guys get a bit curious at this sort of age and that might include watching a bit of gay porn or thinking about guys when you "do something" as you put it. Try and keep an open mind about it, your sexuality is not something you can really choose or control. But dont be in any hurry to jump to any conclusions. Wait until love comes along, then you'll start to know some answers.

It's really hard to think about at first.
I'm a lesbian, and I've come to accept it.
But yeah, at first I was really scared. I was really really scared.
That's completely normal.
And who knows, you're still young.
You might be straight.
Everyone has some type of sexual feelings for the same sex once in their life.
It's just a part of exploring your sexuality and growing up.
I hope you get everything sorted out.
And what matters most is that you're happy. And I think in time you will figure out what will make you find that happiness. :)

To answer the question in your title, no. I'm not scared to be gay, it's what I am. Just like someone may like horror movies, while another likes comedies. I prefer boys, while others prefer girls.

Nicks answer was good.. but personally I think you can choose your sexuality. The problem is with that choice, deciding for definite is a hard process especially when your a teen going through puberty lol.

Whatever you choose, never feel guilty. If you love girls but have thoughts about boys; then so what? Who is to tell you, you cant? No one.
You should never feel guilty about what you choose to do, I really cant express this enough. I know how you feel.. I thought I was different and would be a pariah if I told people I was gay (now I realise im bi so I have the best of both worlds lol) and would be bullied so I kept it bottled in. I learnt that over time expressing myself was the best possible way to get rid of any guilt.

It's normal in some ways to have these kinds of sentiments. Being gay or bi isn't normal - by the numbers - and it's portrayed and treated very negatively by many people even today. The important thing that you have to realize is that there's nothing wrong with it. Being attracted to guys is not a bad thing, and it doesn't make you a bad or a worse person.

It's difficult or impossible to change who you are attracted to, so just go with it and don't feel bad. There's nothing wrong with you, so don't feel that way.

I had to actually have sex with a girl and a boy before I could finally be certain that I was normal and just happened to be attracted to both genders. Age 13? Just relax, you're still growing and you're still trying to find out who you are.
It's a process that your hormones are raging and it can make you think you're not straight.

Never be afraid of who you are and what you think. Never feel guilty. Like they have said, your too young to decide if you are gay, straight, or bi. Hormones are ridiculous and embarrass us and confuse us. Luckily, most guys go through this stage. I think it may be safe to say that EVERY guy goes though this stage. (Depending how accepting your community is, may determine how many guys actually admit it.) We all get curious. And btw, your statement about the "normal life" is actually accurate. Being straight with a family is the "normal" life. When I say "normal," I mean it as the ideal lifestyle that most people want other people to live up to. Again, never feel guilty after you "do something."
