I admire this guy for taking matters in to his one hands and wasting no time. Just wanted to find out general opinion :) what do you guys think.
Copenhagen, Denmark - Delegates at the U.N. Climate Change Conference are "running short on time" to reach agreement on a deal, U.S. President Barack Obama told them Friday.
"There is no time to waste," he said. "Now I believe it's the time for the nations and the people of the world to come behind a common purpose. We are ready to get this done today, but there has to be movement on all sides."

@ op, I personally think the whole climate change thing is a complete load of bollocks.
Climate change is something that has happened before; it's a natural occurrence which can't be stopped. From what I've read, even if all the nations do cut down on their carbon emissions etc, it isn't going to do much. Climate change isn't something initiated by the humans and isn't something that is worth fighting imo, it's a battle we will always loose. Mother nature has a tendency to be a bitch like that.

Climate change has happened before, yes. However, the change that has happened in the last 50 or so years would otherwise have happened over several thousand, that's the difference.
Doesn't matter though, we've left it too late now, we're all royally screwed.

There's time to waste, but we may as well do something. Whether you think the world's going to end or not (I, personally, don't.) making our environment a nicer place would be good for everyone's health.

I couldn't agree more! Not to mention some places on our planet our getting cooler, while some get warmer. It is a never ending natural process.

There's too much evidence that global warming is real to deny its not, even with the recent controversy over some scientist throwing out climate data from the eightys. Yes, earth has always had a natural warming cycle, but never has temperature experienced such rapid change in a short amount of. While I do believe in global warming, I do not believe there is too much we can do about it. Bad things will happen, its just a question of when, and there's not much we can do, but perhaps delay the inevitable a bit. But nonetheless, I think we have a responsibility to take care of our home, and this includes not putting toxic emissions into our air and atmosphere. While some may not believe in global warming, you can't deny that human activity hasn't had horrible consequences for both humans and the environment. Honestly, I don't think we don't need too worry about the planet, the planets been here billions of years and has undergone all sorts of shit. Its the human race that's fucked. By polluting, we're only hurting ourselves. But we are a crafty buch of bastards, so perhaps eventually we'll find our way around living in our own waste, or perhaps find a home elsewhere on another planet, and ruin that one as well.

Who cares. It's not going to have a big enough impact to screw the world up. We're just making the cycles occur faster.

It is bullshit. It's just another way to get everyone scared for more control and money (carbon tax). The earth's temperature has in fact got slightly colder.
