Really is sagging necessary?
Almost all of our generation does it.
If I wanted to see your boxers or butt crack, I would meet you in my room.
If you look at a guys pants when he "walks" he actually has to open his legs to keep the damn pants up.
Also it looks like you dropped a load in the back of your pants.
Im not saying you need to look like Urcle, but at least find your waist.
Anyone have any reasons why sagging is okay or "cool"

I do not see the point in arguing this really. Kids will be kids and if they choose to "sag" their pants then so be it.

I hate it when people have their pants to their freakin' butt. I sag to an extent because (A. In all honesty would you rather see my underwear or my backhair and my happy-trail, (B. My bealt thing is cold all the time, lol.
But I sag to a reasonable degree.

I sag as well, but not purposely. I have like no hips so my pants just fall.

-well said. I couldn't agree more. I really hate seeing people's hair ass when they walk, that being said, say no to crack lol.

I find extremely low-cut shirts on females equally disturbing, though that is much more common.
But in the end, how someone decides to dress is their choice and freedom. If one finds it visually uncomfortable, by all means, look elsewhere. It's not that huge of a deal.

Sagging past a certain point just annoys me. I like to have a little bit of my boxers showing...like the waistband and less then an inch more...but beyond that is just slopping looking and unnecessary (IMO).

Why even that much? Just curious.

Yeah, it's pretty retarded that people do it. I once saw a guy with his pants right above his knees, and a very low shirt.

I don't like it even though I do like what I see at times but other times it's just ugly. However I do not think that we should do anything to stop it because it's not hurting anyone and usually guys do wear gym shorts under it.

Personally I really don't mind and sometimes it's always good to see a little more than you bargained for ;)

thats like complaining about the kind of knot someone does in their tie

Well, although I do the same as Jared, I see it as kind of...disrespectful. Here, it's referred to as indecency. If someone is asked to pull up their pants, and they don't, off to the principals office.

Having baggy pants or sagging a bit is one thing but when I see people having to walk like a penguin or hold up their pants, then I think that makes them look both stupid as well as disrespectful because they're essentially walking around having people look at their underwear or ass. I'll admit I wear my pants somewhat baggy, however, the waist part doesn't go past my ass, it stays close to my hips and I'm not walking on the pants. I understand it's not hurting anyone but if other people can wear proper-fitting pants, then why is it so difficult to buy pants that fit or are less baggy so as to not have yourself look somewhat degenerated and rude?

What?
what wasnt there to understand in that post???
some people wear pants low
some wear them high
and some wear them round there knees
just like
some do thier ties in a winsor knot
some do their ties in another knot i dont know
and some do their tie so its stupidly short
it only makes them look stupid so why complain

Ties are mostly used in formal situations. And is wearing your tie in a certain way disrespectful, degenerating, or showing unnecessary parts of your body? No. You're comparing two different things.

I just don't get why they do it. It's really uncomfortable to walk around like that.

It really bothers me when people stereotype black people as the only people who sag or when they only identify sagging when black people do it. I am saying that in general...
Honestly it started a long time ago with gangsters I believe and people have evolved it and made it their own. A lot of people basically use pants just for show now. They put on basketball shorts under and just have jeans on to look flashy :P. I am perfectly fine with that because it shows how the people have responded to the "I DONT WANNA SEE YOUR UNDERWEAR" thing. Now you don't.
In fact, to be honest, I never see underwear by people who sag anymore...
White people have made it their own too and I see people sagging with skinny jeans sometimes or just some other way and I do see underwear with them occasionally but its not bad.
In general, I dont have a problem with it and I never have really...itd just suck if you had to run away :P
Its just a style that like all, will blow over at some time and come back and blow over, etc.

It's not a big deal, really. There are bigger problems than pants out there.

This is a dumb point to argue with, because kids will do what they want to do.. Even Mrs. Kirk, the time out director at school can't do nothing about it and she things she fucking controls us. At school, you get 45 Detention for sagging, but it don't stop anyone.

It started in prisons. Prisoners weren't given belts, so their pants sagged.
