Does anyone else here have tourettes syndrome? I got the mild twitches, but i know that a lot of people have it worse. Does anyone know any rock solid ways to control the ticks? mine dont bother me to much, but i would like to control them. I hope this is in the right place.

As far as I've read about it.. There is no way to control the twitches or other forms of random actions completely but with considerable practice you can mask the twitched with everyday gestures, movements. Of course that would only work for mild twitches.

My friend has it, he twitches and pulls his hair, when he does, they give him a little rubber toy to stretch out so he dosent pull his hair, so I guess find something to occupying yourself with.

I got a friend that has it, and it's not pretty. I even researched all about Tourettes searching to find a way to help the "ticks" stop, i don't know.

I have tourettes lots of twitching, blinking, hiccuping, face scrunching, shoulder shrugging, hair/clothes pulling etc, It used to be quite bad but I'm on medication from my psychiatrist and its got loads better. Maybe ask a doctor? :)

I get tics but no diagnosis of tourettes.

A close friend of mine has a lot of bad tics, and his close friend has a diagnosis of tourettes, he suffers worse than my close friend, and to me my close friend has it bad, so can't imagine how shit it must be for his close friend.

From what i've read, if you focus less on the tics it decreases stress therefore decreases the tics.
you need to be comfortable and destressed.
if you get frustrated or stressed with them theyll get worse.
