Tone Deaf

Is anyone on here tone deaf? I am yet I listen to metal music as I can feel the beat. Don't ask me out. I can sorta make out the sounds.

I'm far from tone deaf...But I realize what you're taking about completly
If there's anything on your mp3/iPod/cd player that's marked "bass booster", turn it on. it makes the beat easier to hear :)

I am to an extent, but I'm getting better. It's not much to do with the beat as it recognizing the note/chord sequence. Beat is more generated towards drums. So when you say you are "tone deaf", that means you can't figure out what note you are hearing. Try some simple keys like D minor, C, and G. Those are the easiest I can come up with. Also, as Gwyn has stated, if you have an EQ setting your mp3 player/iPod then you should turn it to "Bass Booster". That always helps me.
