FINALLY! After years upon YEARS, Genesis gets the induction. A bit surprised that ABBA is getting in...not a very good band imho. The induction is taking place on March 15th, 2010 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. The event will be broadcasted live on FUSE.

I understand ABBA is popular, not terrible for some, but how in any way are they NOT pop? I thought this was the ROCK AND ROLL Hall of Fame.

I'm so proud that Genesis got in, I love them and they deserve it.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is infamous for doing this. Artists like Madonna and the like are in it. They aren't rock, they're pop. Besides, the comittee voting for this are in NEW YORK, not CLEVELAND. If they really knew what rock was, then they wouldn't be on the panel.

Well, reports have said that Rutherford, Banks, Collins, and Hackett are all going to go. Wether or not Gabriel, Thompson, or Stuermer are going is still a mystery.

If pop came first and influenced rock, then it would be understandable, but I didn't think that was the case. The people voting are a bit inept regardless their area.
