Wow, I haven't watched this show in a LONG time. I used to all the time, but seem to have faded away. I don't recall if there was an episode where he made that much progress on his little boat, let alone take it out of his basement. I don't see that in his character. Gibbs is a very relentless person, and you can see it in his work.

There was one episode where Gibbs was taking care of a boy whose father had been kidknapped and the boy asked that very question. Gibbs proposed the idea of taking down the wall to get his boat out.

I love NCIS! I fancy the hell out of Tony lol. I don't think gibbs' boat trick has ever been solved, though I do think i can vaguely remember abby looking as if she figured it out, not sure whether she said how or not...
