How much do you guys cherish your friends? Friendship is the most important thing in my life, and I'd do anything for them. I let my friends know that, and I let them know that I'm there for them. Anyone else here really big about their friends?

Nyeh. Not really. They usually come and go. I've got one friend that I have known since Kindergarten though and I hope to stay in touch with him for a long time to come.

Exactly the same, or even more... I care way too much about my "friends"... I wish I had someone who would care the slightest bit about me, since my so-called "friends" only remember I exist when they need something from me... they always ignore how important they are to me...

I try to stay as close to my friends as I can. figuring out who's really a friend and who's just using you is the difficult part.

Maybe more..I know, right? That's been happening alot to me. It'a like I'm, only there to clean up a mess, or plan it. Never to enjoy making it!

True...I actually just broke up a friendship. He was just using me for Algebra and Biology now. What a DICK. AND I've known him since kindergarten...but who know. I might change my mind...I always do.

Most friendships I don't really go insane over. But there are about 4 people that I cherish with my life.

i care about my friends a lot. its something i actually pride myself on. i'll often sit down and wonder how a particular person is going and stuff like that. i always like to let them know that i care about them and they are loved, because thats how i would like to be treated back. the problem is, often i find myself expecting too much from my friends in return and that always seems to come back to haunt me.

i care about people who care about me lol. and people who are unfortunate in life. normally i regard any one living on the highway in a box as a druggy or something like that, but with the recession i treat them differently. i have to agree with you

Yeah, my friends are the only ones who I actually care the most about at the end of the day. Well, them and this other person:P Most of my friends are stating to realize how much they mean to me.

My situation is kinda weird. I have friends, but I've found that alot of mine come and go. I've been close to this one girl (Halie) since we were very young, and I'm still friends with her (cause we're both good friends with the same 2 other girls), but we aren't as close as we used to be. And I've had other friends come into my life and I've been close to them for a year or two & then they..drift away I guess. I think the reason I become less close to Halie is because she's screwed me over a couple times and I can't fully trust her anymore. I've been used by people too, so you could say I have trust issues. I can only trust one, maybe two, people with ANYTHING. My grandfather once told me that someday you'll be able to count the number of true friends on one hand and he was right.

I've kinda realized that my boyfriend is my current "best friend", I don't care how dorky that sounds. He's probably the only person in my life who hasn't screwed me over & I've known him for a long time. He's not like other guys, he's like a 30 yr old in a 17 yr old's body (thats not supposed to seem creepy; it just means he's really mature and dependable.) and he honestly told me he wants to marry me in a couple years. (: So..yeah.

Yea, I love them :)

Back in the days in school, I hated my own year as some of them were so mean to me, so I found most of my friends from the year below. (not that there ain't nice people in my year, but I guess these friends in the year below are closer to me.)
I'd do anything for them, but being a year above kinda gave a distance.
So, yeah, love my friends from year below.

Then, I just happened to fell in love with one of them.
It didn't turn out well.
As that dude and I happened to have quite a bit of mutual friends, some are good friends of both of us. And me, being the guy from the year above, kinda didn't fit in. Friends are stuck between us.
Well, alliances and stuff like so changes over time, I lose some people, and maybe gain a couple back.

I can't see my friends when he's with them.
It gets worse.
It turns out I had to leave by the end of the year. And given how much I love my friends, I can't bear to. I knew I would be crying on my last day. And I did.

The sad thing is that my departure was for the better of them. Like, the feeling that he wins. The thought that we were all friends, and I had to leave cause of one.

Sure, some of the others were still nice to me, but distance is inversely proportional to friendship.

So, I feel real bad for having to leave everyone I know to go somewhere else. But if everyone's gonna be happy (him included), I would be too.

On a more cheerful note, I can find new friends just as well. And I love my two best friends with all my heart. One that way, one not.

I know, this sounds like a moan/rant, but I do expect too much out of my friends sometimes. Maybe cause I'd do anything for them. But still, to me, it's not an excuse to be upset if they fail to meet up to my standards.

I'd be there for a friend when they need me, but for guys, it's not such a dudey thing to do, so it gets awkward when I say that to a guy. Annoying, eh?

I try and pick 4 or 5 close friends carefully. Make sure they're not the ones who are out to bullshit and then have a sub-group of friends that you are still friendly with, but conscious that they can come and go. Then, everyone else, I'm nice to. It works, because when you are nice to everyone else, they start letting you know the gossip, and THAT is how you know if your friends are talking about you behind your back. Clever.

I have some amazing friends. I can trust these people so much. They are like family too me. I have "friends", who are more like acquaintances...and then I have my good true friends which I cherish so ...

People find me un-friendly, even my co-workers.
I prefer being alone and watching other people and their
behaviors...

Without my friends now I would be nothing. My confidence would be low and I would probably be miserable and lonely. I love my friends (in a non-homosexual way :)) because they make me laugh, they are reliable and we just get on.
