its going to be a while yet until the release so the price couls go up or down yet, plus thats the release price so it will go down after a couple of months

The smaller HDD model is just a bit less than the 360 was when it came out, and the bigger HDD is alot more. However PS3 will be shit of course compared to the 360 and hopefully it will fail.

Yep, and then Sony decided to steal Nintendo's idea of motion sensitivity. Pretty funny actually... They were so desparate that they removed the rumble feature in order to fit in the motion sensors. And the great thing is that it's not even half as good as Nintendos, as well as the controllers do not know "where" they are, while the Wii's remotes do - the Wii can tell where each individual remote is relevant to other controllers and to the system itself.

Anyway... $500-$600 is pushing it... way too much :rolleyes:

But they really didn't need the motion sensing technology. That's my only problem with it - stealing Nintendo's idea. -_- But yeah, it's really quite expensive, but it will have the best graphics ever seen in a console. Personally though, I don't see the need in buying one when I'll have the Wii :D - a friend of mine will have the PS3, so we'll both be using each other's consoles occasionally ;) By the by, the rumble feature was good and everything, but I suppose it's not really needed... I mean, I've used the Wave Bird (for Game Cube) and it has no rumble feature - which I didn't miss while I was playing wirelessly. Though I'm guessing that a lot of 3rd party companies will try to make the PS3 controller with rumble...

Man I can't wait to buy a Wii. It's small, but it vibrates.(Nintendo apparently made it work with the gyroscopes) Sorry this just seems so relavent...

well i love playstation and people really care to much about their "stolen ideas". it will not fail, there is way to much of a fanbase. The Japanese government would bail sony out if they were at a huge loss over national pride, plus sony is a giant corperation is all outlets of media/entertainment so the failure of the ps3 would not bring them down. the motion sensors in the controllers are ooold technology. if you dont like it then dont buy one. I might buy one on launch but i work 2 jobs with plenty of cash to spare for it. Xbox does not have anything that excited me and wii looks ok only because its cheap as hell and i enjoy old nes and snes games.

Sony just makes the games I like, imo halo is wayy overrated its rediculous and most of the good games for the 360 i can buy/download free from my pc (oblivion).
