well meat does have little fat in it but it depends on the sort of meat you eat. get lean cuts of meat like steak and chicken. if you eat grilled food instead of fried then that will help with calories. most food products now have all the info on so look at then before you buy/eat.

I don't know about "safe foods" but drink two glasses of water before meals and you won't need to eat as much to feel full.

oh.. God.
Guys I know what she's talking about. This ain't healthy

Don't let "safe foods" run your life. its very limiting, and WILL keep you from doing things eventally.

It's a holiday, don't bother worrying about it. you wont gain weight unless you're really overeating. And even if you do its not the end of the world

QFT.

Amy, you don't need to count calories and completely avoid certain foods to avoid gaining weight. Eating moderate portions is one of the best ways to do so.

I know that we are nearing Christmas and you won't be at school for much longer. But in January, go and talk to the school counsellor (if your school has one), or your doctor or find a counselling service nearby - there are a number of free services of this nature for young people.
If you continue to pursue this without talking to someone about it, things will get very serious.

^ Basically, this.

Worrying and fretting over "safe" foods will not help you in the slightest.
Setting restrictions and strict routines for yourself can cause unhealthy obsessions with your weight, and not only will it create very bad and unstable relationships with food as well.

It is so highly unlikely that you will gain weight if you eat in MODERATION.
Continuously counting and obsessing over calories and fat content is one stress that will cause an extreme worsening to all your problems, as you're going to spend far too much time being engrossed with it all, which could harm you physically and emotionally in the meantime.

ok, im not gunna say or judge your choices in what you are eating, but turkey is healthy, if you eat the light, NOT the dark meat, the light meat is usually found on the breast, and if you eat it in moderations it is good for you, it can provide essential protiens and fats(that are good for you and not are the actual bad fats that make you gain weight) now i mean grilled and not deep fried will help you alot, you can also bake meats whitch really decreases the fat

to answer your answer: chicken, turkey, any fish are good for you, some steaks

now if oyu want to be healthy get the lean cuts

now i could treatyour self in moderation, because i know all this becasue im a very healthy person and along with my whole family, but being such a healthy actually got me bigger, that is because when your always eating healthy you tend to over eat the treats,so i would treat your self weather it is at thanksgiving or christmas, i mean you can make most home things very healthy

and questions pm me, or im me

While this is true, I'd like to remind that we're not promoting unhealthy behavours by incouraging "safe foods".

THere's no such thing, really.

No, don't.

A vegetarian diet can be done right, but amy, you don't seem like you're in a position to go vegetarian and not have it turn into restriction.

meat is healthy it's protein. if you look at the food pyramid your body needs 2 to 3 servings a day to be healthy. a good healthy portion of meat is a size of a deck of cards. red meat is the most unhealthy out of all the meats but is rich in iron and other things your body needs. pork isn't a healthy meat. now i'm not saying don't ever eat these meats just don't eat them evbery day eat them maybe once a week or less if you wnat. i'm a vegetarian, so i really dont' need to worry aobut this, however if you become vegetarian you will be anemic like i am (low blood count) this will make you feel tired, sick, more vulnerable to illness, dizzy, etc.

a vegetarian diet may very well help her achieve a more balanced diet as more meatless proteins have less fat and can allow a person to get more nutrients ♥

I don't want to call it an eating disorder, but I have an obsession. In regards to the content I need to get from foods, if I don't get it, I have a strong belief that my body will look like shit and I feel like shit. It's something on a seemingly long list of problems I have with myself. It's a part of my life, but right now I'm happy with myself, so I'm not going to efforts to change anything. I'd kindly advise you not to go down this route if you can help it, or any similiar routes. It's a very hard habit to get out of.

A clean source of protein/meat would be chicken or turkey. Fish is good too, tuna has zero carbs/fat.
