Hey guys and gals, what's up?

I'm sorta new here, but I'm gonna be picking up on things fast. I was just looking some stuff up on Google, and this site came up, and I'm glad it did. It seems like a great place to get and receive advice, and that's always nice. Heck, I wish I had found it sooner. Cause I know this would've helped me with the difficult move through puberty, and now that I'm on the tail end of it, I guess it would be nice to offer something to those who are the same as I was when I was younger, and help those who need it.

Now, a little bit about me. I'm 17, and I live in California. I kinda like it, at times its a bit difficult, but that's because of my personality. I'm an orphan, my mother died when I was 9, and my father died last year. That's a huge part of who I am, and is definitely a part of something greater that has shaped my philosophy. I'm homosexual and atheist, two other things I'm extremely passionate about. I try to be as articulate as possible. I love acting, singing, dancing, reading and just generally having fun. I'm not the party hardy type, instead I'm more of the small gathering of friends type.

I'm a senior in high school, and have just finished all of my college applications, and am working on getting scholarships together.

Anything else, you'd like to know, or if you ever would just like to talk feel free to ask. :)

Well, I like you already. You seem very respectful, and knowledgeable. I can relate with you. My dad died when I was young. It was a traumatic experience, but I have learned to live with it, as I have no choice.

Anyway. I'm Lawrence.
I hope to see you around!

Very nice to meet you Lawrence.

My mothers death was very hard because we were too poor to afford hospital care that she so desperately needed. So instead I left Elementary School and took care of her the last two weeks of her life. I fed her, clothed her, bathed her, etc. My father was non-existent at that time. He was always in and out of the house and whenever he was around, he was drunk.

But enough of that, I hope I'll be seeing you around often. And I think you for the compliment, you are very charming as well. :)

That's horrible.

My dad was a police man. He was shot by a gang member who was in possession of marijuana. I was eleven, and sitting in the front seat of his cruiser. And now my mom is an alcoholic.

Thank you, though. And you're welcome.

Finally. A member that probably won't stay in the Puberty forum forever. Glad to meet you.

I'm Adam. ;) If you like Philosophy, History, or Literature I am here.

Glad to meet you.

Nice to meet you Adam. :)

The only time I'll be in the Puberty forum is to offer advice, or any help I can give. :)

And it just so happens I love History, Literature and Philosophy, as well as Art, Most major Sciences (Biology, and its subsets of microbiology, evolutionary biology, ecology, and taxonomy) as well as Physics and Chemistry. Now, biological chemistry gets me a little lost, but its something I'm working on. :)

Science is probably the weakest point of my mind. Terrible at it. Can't even understand Newtons Laws of Physics. Well I can understand his first law.

An object at rest or at a constant velocity will stay the same unless an outside force acts upon it.

My favorite parts of history are the American civil war, The American Revolution, The Great War, World War II.

Ah, well if you ever need help with the Sciences Adam, I'd be glad to help.

When it comes to history, I love Greek and Roman history, along with anything tied to Religion. Despite being an atheist, I do find many of the religions intriguing just because of the psychology's they create. Also I love American history from Revolutionary, to Civil War, WW1, WW2, 'Nam, Korean War, formation of the colonies... Alot! Hehe

Also, thank you Deschain for the welcome. :)
