Pee Test

I have to give a Pee test next week.I've never had one before and i don't know what to do.
Could someone please advise me!

Its nothing to worry about, you'll just be asked to pee into a little bottle. Drink some water before you go because its embarassing if you cant do anything. You will be allowed to go somewhere private, you wont be expected to pee in front of the doctor or nurse.

Exactly as JustNick said, you go to your appointment, they will give you a labelled jar, you go to the toilets, fill it up and hand it back in. Then you just wait for your results, depending on what they are looking for will effect the time it takes to come back.

Umm it's probably over by now and hopefully everything went well but if something comes up and they want to do something called a vcug....DONT it's horrid, had to get one because they found something in urine and I agreed to it not knowing what it was.

If they are checking for hydration then it is best to have an almost clear urine compared to dark yellow urine

If your urine is a real heavy dark yellow it may imply that something medically is wrong with you

You go in the bathroom with a cup and pee in it. As others have said, drink water before you go.

Why would they check for hydration?
If your urine is "a real heavy dark yellow" then it only means you're slightly dehydrated.

I know everyone has said to drink water but make sure you drink water maybe the night before and the morning of.
The reason I say this is because it will definitely be embarassing if you go and you have disgusting dark yellow pee. Not necessarily because it may lead that something is wrong, but it is embarassing and disgusting :P
