question about itching and redness down below.

so for the first time ever i shaved my pubic hair around my genitals and now it itches like crazy and its all red where i shaved. im thinking maybe i shaved to close but i dont know. i just want to know if anyone has expirianced this and can help me to know how to avoid it in the future.

It happens because you're not used to it. I'd try starting out with trimming, and just advance from there. But, be careful. Also, if you want to avoid itching, use baby oil after you shave.
