Usually I straighten/style my hair before I go to bed as this is when I have the most time. But when I wake up it sticks up and looks nothing like it did when I straightened it. I tried wax and gel but I don't really like them. Are there any ways to keep my hair down and not as messy when I sleep on it? Thanks :).

are you a messy sleeper? if not brush it up the pillow and try not to sleep over it.

um you could try to go to bed earlier so you can wake up earlier and do your hair in the morning and avoid this problem, idk, different people, different hair

Why do you bother to straighten it and put gel in it at night? If it gets messy, then simply don't waste your effort trying and simply do your hair in the morning.

Get a silk scarf and learn to wrap your hair. It keeps your hair down and reduces frizz that other headwear might not do.
