Is it just me or is the President of the United States being made to look like he is a rap/rock star. Walk into a Spencer's or an FYE and find numerous posters promoting him like he is the next big music star instead of the leader of the free world. I believe that if you like Obama, great. But is there a need to slander our image to other countries by people saying that our leader is a rap star?
Please reply. Feel free to PM.

I don't say he's being promoted as a rap star, he's just a popular figure that industries can use to make merchandise.

Well..., they do sell posters at FYE, it's not that big of a deal..
I mean, people like to overendulge themselves with Obamadise, fine with me; it doesn't affect me in any way.

Just because his poster is up in FYE it doesn't mean he's a rapstar or anything what if they posted it up at a porn shop would he be a porn star?

Clothing and other stores aren't interested in promoting him, they're interested in promoting themselves via him. If there was an ad of Obama being with homeless people to promote some shelter, then does that mean Obama is homeless? Of course not. He's a popular figure because he's the president and not only that, he's a president of dark skin colour which hasn't happened much before, so he's from a minority group coming into power over everyone. It'd be idiotic if stores didn't capitalize on the opportunity to use him as an ad, especially when many people like Obama.
It's the same thing as taking some random celebrity and putting them in a commercial for an electric beard trimmer and the celebrity smiles, says something and is happy. Doesn't mean the celebrity is truly happy about the beard trimmer just because the ad shows it.
