im 13 and havent had any. i have a bunch of friends who are girls but none that are "girlfriends". i kinda think that middle school relationships are overrated, but in highschool when you actually go places and a date isnt just seeing eachother someplace other than school id go out with someone. i first gotta get up the courage to ask the person out wich is hard for me, but if i really liked the person id probably force myself since the worst that could happen is she says no. also in highschool its not a big deal of "who's going out with who" since people are more mature

I'm 14 and I've had 3. I think that for the most part if guys really want to have relationships in Middle School then they will get them. In my experience girls start to be interested in relationships before guys and they're dying to get one. One of the girls who I went out with said basically that she would start liking someone if they told her they liked her. This was awesome considering she was incredibly hot. This may not be the same for a public middle school (I go to a private school) but I definetly think that if you set your mind to it you can get girlfriend. Being attractive helps too. ;)

I think that definitions of bf's/gf's tend to differ hugely...

I mean, to some it might include someone you "went out" with when you were 11...without actually going anywhere with them...and it only lasted for a few days anyway...and by the end of the week youre "going out" with another person...whereas, the next person might only include the relationships where they actually fell for the other person, or that lasted more than just a couple of weeks...
If that makes sense...hmm no? :? ...ok...ummm :shock:...just ignore me...
