help with installing something?

cannnn someone please help meeee?
My hard drive crashed and I got a new one mailed to me, but i dont have the cd that goes with my webcam to install it, so I can't figure out how to download off the internet a program that will let me use it

What company makes your webcam? You could probably contact them for a new CD.

I dont know about mac's, But if you plug in the webcam on windows, a wizard should pop up giving you the option of finding your driver online... If you follow it from there you should get it for free, and it will take at most 5 mins. But if you do have a mac, it will probally just do it itself.

There are a few ways. You could probably try what John said. BUT, if that doesn't work, call the company and let them know your situation.

Plug it in, if it doesn't install then run windows update and see if it's in the optional updates. If that doesn't work google search the model number and you should find what you need.
