In the Puberty for Boys forum, we have the two stickied threads at the top, Penis Size and Masturbation Discussion, where the P101's are meant to talk about those topics. However, so many of those threads in there are "Am I to large" or "Who here masturbates".

Get my drift? So, I was wondering if the mods could monitor it a little bit more, and try to keep those conversations into those two threads.

As far as I'm aware the only way to stop people posting those annoying questions is to direct them to the stickies first.
However, most new members are so eager (or stupid) to post their own question. I'm pretty sure this has been suggested before and I just don't think it would work.

The point is that the majority of the people in those forums join the forum, post a thread, get their answer, and leave. These people don't care for rules, nor can you make them care.

*sigh* It'd be nice to have a sticky in this forum requesting people to stop whining about P101. If you don't like it (Gods know I don't) then minimize the damned thing and be done with it.

I agree, yet I still spend most of my time there.
It's my widest area of knowledge.

Currently, we are looking at these issues, and have been for a while. However, it takes time to fully figure everything out, so patience is requested.

can mods here merge all the similar threads? it'l like ppl dnt know how to turn the pages here, and ask the same question 9 billion times.

Merging them isn't always a good solution because the posts go in chronological order. Let's say you ask a question on the 1st of the month, and a lot of responses come in on the 2nd, before the thread gets noticed and merged. All of the posts in the sticky that happened during that time frame are going to get mixed up in-between the answers to your question. Those answers will be really confusing, then, because no one can tell what post they're responding to. They'd just look random. So, in a lot of circumstances, merging isn't a suitable option.

Locking and posting a link to the stickied thread is also problematic because it looks terrible to have half of the threads locked on the first page alone. Really looks uninviting and cluttered.

Like Rex said, though, the mods are aware of the problem and are working to figure out what changes may need to be made.

When I was a mod there I was quite strict on it, I often merged threads into the stickies and locked a large amount of pointless threads. It doesn't have to be very strickt but I think there's a little bit of slack going on.

I don't see the problem, there was lots of those threads on here a while ago but there are alot less now

so if we continue to help people, others will read the threads and have answers without posting their own thread

the boys puberty forum is the hardest on this site to mod, and its only getting harder to control as the site grows. the current moderators for p101 along with the senior staff here are working towards finding a solution that will improve the efficiency of the puberty forums, and to improve the general tidyness of those forums. until then i suggest that anything you find that you think should be dealt with, just report it so that staff can deal on it on a case by case basis. be assured though, we are aware that the boys puberty forum in particular needs work and we are working on a solution for it.
