usually during the summer months i wear 3/4 length shorts. last summer i had hardly any leg hair and if i had any, it was transparant, since last september the hair has grown thick and fast and my legs look totally different! im embarrased of having my legs in shorts now cos my parents will just look at them and say 'oooo my little baby's growing up' and stuff like that. im scared of when i will have to start shaving my facial hair becasue they will say the same sort of thing. does anybody have any advice??

Just go ahead and shave your facial hair. And tell your parents that you don't want them to say that. But don't say "OOOHHHH MMMOOOOOMMM!!! DDDAAADD!!!". Just tell them to stop it. I'm embarrassed to have shorts on but I go ahead and do it. Think of the other kids at your school. I thought my legs were hairy till I looked at another kids arms. So don't worry. :D

i kinda felt like that when i got my pit hair but just its really not a big deal. they wont say ooooo my boys growing up **bright red smiley face** u cant help it with ur legs and you shouldnt try to hide them, just let them fly. and same with ur face, when u start to shave i bet ull be at the age when they know u dont want them to say that stuff

I worried about it my mum said something along the lines your thought your mum would say, just get on with it be better to shave your facial hair than not (fine hair moustaches look in lots of cases really bad), every boy has to do it.

all the kids here in florida are proud of their hair, if you don't have any they will say you shave. i got very little and i always wear long pants.

My parents also said that kind of stuff to me when i grew a mustache. Also, they remarked when my voice got deeper too. It really annoys the hell out of me.

Don't be ashamed of wearing shorts! And just try to ignore your parents in they say stuff like that. Personally I think shorts look stupid but thats probably just because I'm weedy! :P

Yeh, that happened to me. Just ignore them and they should just stop saying it sooner or later.

don't fret over ur parents man... My mom would do that... and my dad would probably torment me... the only person i'd worry about is my grandmother pinching my cheeks and saying, "Oh, My little man's growing up!". Just wear them... my legs are still transparent, but thats what im predicting will happen...

if u need to shave ur facial hair - SHAVE IT, if u wanna wear shorts - wear shorts.
if ur parents embaras u - tell then to SHUT UP! ur growing, yes, but they dont need to point it out - its ovious!

Good words Nathan.
Personally I would try and get as much hair on my legs as possible :P My friends (girls) say it's an attractive part of a man. So let them grow!
As for your parents just let them get over you. Your her child and its really amazing to see your kid start off as a baby to start going through puberty. You would be proud if it was your kid. That you raised a healthy child.
