The sweet scent of maritime
Escapes the cumulonimbi.

And out comes the hazel rain
As grains of sand go on parade,
Sliding down the charabanc
Of love, a lost serenade.

The hazel rain, it trickles down
The neck, the gown, the evening race,
Up, around, continues on,
The clock won't stop
It's not yet noon.

The hazel rain comes pouring down
The scent of maritime has drowned
And all I had that was profound,
The sweetness of this evening wow,
Is lost in hazel tears of joy,
Falling from her hazel eyes,
Up above, she's still alive.

(Her eyes, her eyes,
The rain, she cries.)
