So about 8 months ago, I was jumping on my trampoline, and suffered a compression fracture. I was braced, whatever, and healed, and had no pain. Now I'm not starting to feel pain, but am a little uncomfortable:confused whenever I do certain activities, such as sitting or standing for a long time, or riding on a bumpy bus/car ride. I really don't want to go see a doctor until it gets worse, or eat blue m&ms (lol, because they are supposed to heal back injuries...whatever) is their anything I can do for it that doesn't involve doctors, bracing, or medicine?

It's possible that you're just going to have to deal with pain during activities which put strain on your back (bumpy car rides or roller coaster that jerk you around a lot, standing for long periods of time, etc.). Some injuries can affect you that way, but taking some Tylenol or Motrin or something can help.
Seeing your doctor might help confirm that it is or isn't related to the original injury.
Other than avoiding the activities which cause you pain, I can't think of anything that doesn't involve some sort of medical intervention (such as ibuprofen or seeing the doctor).

i hurt my back during football and i had to go and get some work done too. start stretching your spine with activities like yoga and ball exercises so your spine is able to expand (get pressure off it). if you are feel compression look into going to see a chiropractor for a session to consult with you, and the possilby of you to get an inversion table (really helped my cousin). i know after i started stretching and laying on an exercise ball my back got alot better. hope this helps. oh and some tylenol and stuff like kaleidoscope eyes said helps, and if that doesnt help id say to consult a doctor.

Maybe a chiropractor? I fucked up my back pretty badly, and a chiropractor is the only thing that kept me out of surgery later in life and allowed me to do things like standing for any period of time, sitting, bending over, stretching, etc. It's possible you caused alignment issues when you hurt yourself, not just fractures. It's worth a shot getting some x-rays by a chiropractor and seeing if you need it.
Although, I dunno, that might count as a "doctor" for you. :p

Thanks very much, I'll take your advice. I'll probably go see a chiropractor if it gets worse, but not till then.
