One quiet whisper,
Echos through our hearts.
Words of comfort,
Words of care,
Words with missing parts.

A second quiet whisper,
Follows slightly through.
Words of horror,
Words of pain,
Words I'll never know.

Whispers sting the heart,
Until it beats no more.
It grows weak,
It grows dead,
It grows forever sore.

Whispers to be seen,
To heal the heart of pain.
To die slowly,
To die lonely,
To die with out gain.

Whisper to me one last time,
I'll close my eyes until I cry.
I cry so fast,
I give so soon,
Like I even try!

But I do...
I swear so.
I try.
I cry.
And yet again I fail you.

You say it isn't so.
Who then am I failing?
You say myself.
You speak so softly.
Not realizing, my life, I am bailing!

Stop me so sweetly now.
Let me know I am wrong.
Is life worth living?
Life worth trying!?
Oh swear to me it can't be long.

I open up my heart to let you in.
You hear the whispers that I claim.
You never knew.
Never thought.
You're now to realize I'm not the same.

Twilight comes and it will go.
Like the rising sun left all alone.
I am alone.
Yet I do not rise.
I can not do so on my own.

One whisper on it's own.
A second shortly after.
My heart aches,
And I cry.
You try to get some laughter.

One whisper by istelf.
Soon followed there by your own.
I know now,
You do care.
You shall not leave me here alone.

Shall you?
Shall you leave me here to die?
In my doubt,
I will fade.
No longer can you tell my lie.

Whisper softly in my ear.
The words you think I need.
I swear.
I swear.
I'll follow if you lead.
