Well i was lying on the sofa the other night and my mum just comes out with
"Do you fancy anyone at school" To which my reply was "No" mum replied with "Youre happy with just wanking then?" Which immediately made it very awkward and to add to it she then said "Youre not gay are you, theres nothing wrong with being gay" which i replied "No im not" (well im not technically :P) Which made it even more awkward. I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

WOW! Awkward lol

no, it's never happened to me, but take consolation in the fact that she doesnt mind you wanking, having sex or being gay :)

Yeah my mom asked me if I like girls at my school and I said yeah but not the gay part. Must be really akward

Yes but id still prefer if she didnt. This is the 2nd time she asked about me wanking tho but last time it wasnt as embarassing as this >.>

But now she's said it, there's nothing you can do about the fact she knows. Just think, when we're parents we'll know our kids wank.

If you want her to stop, just talk to her. Tell her you're happy she's comfortable with everything, but... Say you don't feel comfortable talking about stuff like that with her because she's your mam. Reassure her you'll tell her when you have a girlfriend. (that'll keep her happy)

Moved to teen sexuality, this is more about sexuality than puberty.

I would say your mum is probably just curious to see what your sexuality is.

End of the day, its an awkward topic, if it continues to happen you could always say to your mum your not confident talking to her about this sorta stuff and that you would rather not speak about it.

Please try to contribute, not just make a statement that isn't really helpful to the OP.

Just tell your mum that she's embarassing you and that when you have something to tell her you will. To be honest I think her comments are inappropriate. Maybe you should say outright something to the effect that masturbation is a private thing and none of her f****** business.

Um, i cant say that this has happened to me, lol. But do you know why she did this?

But you think that is awkward. My mom and i were talking about Christmas trees and how i want a big tree. Right in front of my friend, who is a dude by the way... she told us that i "can enjoy his big one"... AWKWARD

Sounds awkward but at least she's open with you and talks to you about these things.

Ugh, my mom has asked me the same stuff before. She says "Don't you like anyone?" And I say "Nope." And then she asks "Don't you want to have a boyfriend and mabey settle down and have a family one day?" I tell her "I'm not thinking about any of that stuff right now, it's not a priority of mine." Then she goes on about how I should find someone one day then she asks me if I like girls and I just say "No, eww!" Wich is kind of a lie cuz I'm bisexual but she doesn't know that. She says she'd still love me or my siblings if we ever told her we were gay, but I see the way she reacts to gays and lesbians and it's just not good. She says that it's gross and wrong and makes me feel like I can't tell her anything at all.

My Dad tried to have this conversation with me, but I just closed the door on him. He's never tried again thankfully.

Sorta of the same thing, my mom randomly said to me while watching TV "Do you like anyone from school?" I'm said "ummm no" and my brother was there to, made some stupid comment that i don't remember and nothing else ever happened after that, but still pretty awkward and random.

I have the kind o relationship with my parents that if they asked me something like that, it wouldnt be akward. it would be funny. lol

but anyway, if you can't discuss this stuff with your parents then with whom the hell can you?

What's inappropriate about it...parents can't be curious, interested, or invested in their own childrens' lives now?

I guess we might as well get rid of parents all together...
