Well, please tell me if im just being an idiot but....

Everytime someone mentions self harm i start to largh or smile.
Someone noticed the cuts on my wrist they said something to me and i just larghed and smiled.
Also mum was talking to me on sunday and i could help myself, i tried so hard not to largh but i still did.

I think i do this to control my emotions because my first reaction to anything bad is to largh.
Would anyone be able to comferm this??????

Thanks :) xx:confused:

I get this all the time, not because someone mentions self harm, just talking to people makes me laugh. Never did before, not sure why though,

Laughter subconsciously dilutes the seriousness and/or emotional intensity of a situation, which may otherwise be difficult to handle.

It is not an uncommon experience.

I laugh when I get hurt badly so it's not uncommon.

I suppose it's a sort of diversion for me.

Try licking the inside of your teeth, it works for me, don't know if it's just me though.
