Ok i was just wandering if their is a mod you could install so that we could submit our xfire name in along with all the other messanging programs. I think that would be good if you could do it, then again maby i am the only user on vt that has XFire.

I use xfire, and I think that is a pretty cool idea.

You could put it in your Biography section :)
Though currently, there are quite enough of IM options available.

Let's think, shall we? It is not being accepted this time, is it? We have an extra slot now that we are using vBulletin, and that should be used for any other details a user wishes to put in (besides the biographical summary).
Anyway, when you suggested it in the first place, it must have been when we had phpBB, which seriously limited abilities (except if we used MODs).

Stop it. We're not switching to SMF.
I personally know of no one who uses Xfire, so I'm not sure of how popular it is. (But) if Viacom is really acquiring Xfire, I guess it has something going for it. I'd like to keep MODs to a minimum, though.
If many people here want it,

are available, but not for 3.5.4, which is our version, so compatibility might be an issue.

Do you know of anyone that plays comp games a lot?

Usually, games have a built in chat system, which the majority of gamers (especially here) would use. I, in fact, do not even use XFire. I actually am starting to use Google Talk more than Yahoo IM or AIM, so why not add a Google Talk box, eh? :) Probably because I am not the majority - others may use one of the main-stream instant messengers.
Just remember, everyone has an extra profile field: Biography. Do with that as you wish (of course, any content has to abide by current rules)!

Yes. I know people who play computer games a lot. They never mentioned xFire.

Ah, forgot to mention, a few days ago, I added in a public profile option (Edit Profile >> scroll to the bottom). This allows you to let everyone know which IM service you use the most (or the one that you'd rather talk on). If you use one of your other fields (like the Biography field) to show other instant messenger screen names (like XFire) then this will come in handy for you :)
The default setting shows that the user has not made a decision yet. Hope you guys like it :)
