In deed,I reckon and it can also be pretty hurtful as well.

Lots of boys say it and can sound like a really lame excuse,only say it if you mean it,and when you say,tell her that you really mean it ;)

Well let me see..you just don't or you just say you're busy..but if you do then you are a little douche bag..looks aren't everything...and if you really can't go then the person must understand...I wouldn't know because nobody has ever turned me down on a date..and likewise..;)
