Hey guys,
My friend wont talk to me because he thinks Im gay... Ive tried talking to him about it but he refuses to respond to any of my calls or text messages. Should I just leave him let him be? or Should I try and solve it?

Thanks

You should try to solve it, if he's avoiding your calls/texts try confronting him in person.

Solve it. Losing a friend is never good for anyone. As Invalid said, if he's avoiding your calls and messages he can't avoid you forever in person.

The others have said solve it, but I disagree you should let him be for a while let him think about what he's doing and the chances are he'll come around and actually realise the twat he's being, although leave him for a few days, see how the situation develops and then go confrount him about it, but he might just be to busy to reply to texts or calls?

Ill try that Lovehatetragedy. I think Ill let him figure out the mistake hes making.

That's the best idea, that way you can see if he is actually a good friend, one who will understand and stuff.

the "leave him be" trick isn't always as great as it sounds. In theory it sounds great because it requires time for the person to reflect. Except there's only one catch: you're basing this on the assumption that he will recognize his mistakes. Do you honestly think that someone as ignorant as a homophobe, will have the maturity and intellectual faculties to get the hint? He most likely won't notice your absence for a long time. Or even if he does, he'll assume it's because of some other reason. I'm not saying it never works, but to me, it is an avoidance tactic from the inevitable confrontation. Just go up to him in person and lay out all the cards on the table.

I agree with Art Dude. i tried the "let him stew about it" tactic on my friend and now he wont even have a normal convo with me. I am just dirt to him and he harasses me constantly.
