Do you really need one, I don't and neither does anyone i know have one. It seems like a waste and intercoolers do not make much difference on xbox's from I hear its only brings the temperature down 10 degrees.

They've also been known to make the 360 even hotter, causing it to overheat and end with either having the cool system weded to the back of your 360, or breaking it. Or both, which I think voids the warranty. so no. Just don't keep it on for too long, keep it in a well ventilated area, and if possible maybe have it by a window so if iyt gets too hot you can open and given some cooling. cheaper than a fan too =)

As long as you don't keep it in a TV cabinet where there is no or little ventilation then you are fine. The xbox will have sufficient cooling to stop it from overheating, it just needs to be in a place where it can draw in cooler air.

I have had the same xbox 360 for three years and it is working perfectly fine, it is an older model too and I have never had RROD. As others have said, keep it ventilated and the room it is in free of loads of dust and animal hair and you shouldnt have any problems, especially not if it is a newer model.

Never buy intercoolers... they're shit.. trust me, I used one. It made a difference for the first couple of days, then it went back to overheating.

don't bother as everyone has said before. i used to use a big one for the ps3 and i didn't notice any differance; just keep your 360 in an open area and let the internal fans do all the work. Also clean them regularely with a hoover or sumthin to get rid of the dust buildups!!!

I just wouldn't bother with it. My xbox used to freeze CONSTANTLY. But then I just stopped playing it for long periods of times. It seemed to stop freezing, but that's just my experience

Hoover, not such a good idea. It could f*** up the internal parts.

simple answer: only if you use your xbox for more than 6 or so hours without turning it off. around 4 hours if you have background downloads on.

get the newer intercooler it plugs into the wall instead of the unit and if you have a unit that plugs into your console it voids your warranty
