I've been itching to change my username. Do I PM a Mod or Admin?

PM either of the admins, Maverick or Epiphany. Just ask them if you could have your name changed and they will do it. However, you must wait three months for another name change.

Aw... It's almost been 3 months for me since I joined. Can I change now or must I wait?

No, I think you misinterpreted my post. Every time you get a name change, you must wait three months before you get a new user name. You can change it now if you want, but you must wait three months before changing it again. Clear?:)

My understanding/interpretation of the rule is that after joining you must wait 3 months before you cant request your first name change, then each time you must wait a further 3 months before you can request another change.

The procedure is to pm either of the admins requesting the change.

When I first joined actually, I had my name changed within the first couple of weeks. The rule really kind of leaves it open to be interpreted in either way, but a quick PM to an admin will clear things up.

I don't understand why people want to change their names. Is it just for the hell of it, or if it like issues?
Anyone?

Mostly for the hell of it and it gets quite annoying.

Personally I think we need to up the amount of time inbetween name changes.

I'm starting to think that three months is low too. I'll admit, I am an abuser of the privilege. Maybe about five or six months would do?

I agree, why shouldn't new members put plenty thought into their name before they sign up.. like most of the rest of us did.

I wanted to change it because I don't like being called by my username. I wanted to be called by my real name. So I changed it to Adam. Sorry if I have inconvenienced you.

I don't know about everyone else, but I wasn;t complaining about you, I was annoyed by the fact of other people changing their name constantly.

Me too

But if you don't mind I'll use you as an example...
Why didn't you just make your username your name to begin with?

Because he didn't want to...

I don't think it's a big deal now that we have other ways to identify who people are including the name post bit now.
