Rep is given to you by other members. If a member doesn't like your post, they can give you negative rep. Your block is red which means you have enough negative rep to put your rep points below zero.

Also reports aren't ignored by moderators we look at the situation and if action needs to be taken we do something if not then we leave it alone.

You are never going to be liked by everyone. Just keep doing what you think is right and some people will agree with you. If you live your life to please everyone your going to be working your ass off. It's better to just focus on the people that already respect you, rather than the people that you know hate you.

I guess someone repped you? In your User CP, it should show the last 10-ish reps you've received.

It would be going a bit far to assume that someone hates you if they have given you negative rep - they just didnt like that particular post. Doesnt mean the same person might not give you +rep in the future.

I get grey rep points. What do those mean? I didn't feel the need to make a new thread sorry :X

I guess you mean neutral rep. That happens when some new member tries to give you rep but they are to new to have any rep power. So generally you just have to take it as a compliment that they wanted to give you rep but it doesnt add to your rep points.

Yeah i dont want to start another thread over rep. but what if someone gives you bogus -rep like i was asking if i was the only one who hasnt heard of the phrase "no homo" (this was in someone elses thread title "no homo") and someone gave me -rep and the reason was " (No Homo) * can a mod delete that -rep? or does it stay? b/c that was the only post i made in that thread until i posted another one AFTER the incident

If you think you're gotten negative repped unjustly, you can PM an admin. They'll look into it and if they agree then they'll reverse it.

The thing about that though is that most people won't bother bothering an admin about a little thing like that.

The option is available, though. People can choose not to say anything about it if they don't feel it's a big deal, but if they want to protest undeserved bad rep they're welcome to. Especially if the same person is doing it to you regularly for no good reason, because abusing the rep system isn't cool.

Yeah fair point.
Shame all my bad rep came from genuine bad posts...
*sigh*
