Since I just got to my first light green block, when will I get my next one?

I read a few months ago that you get a new block for every 150 reputation points. Is this true or is it something else?

I believe it is every 200, and it grows a little bit as you get higher...i think

MAKE BETTER POSTS. It's not that hard getting rep here at all.

I'd have to agree, I have higher rep than you Matt. :P

And I have higher rep than all of you :P
Aside from the stupidity, I think it's every 200 points. I know that you gain a number every 50 points...I think.

When will Ant post?

Anyway, I wondered the same thing until I got my last bright box. (Yay me!)

How do you get higher?

How do you get higher?

The most common method is to get friends on here that will rep you in exchange for rep. The other alternative, although rare, is to make good posts. Good posts rarely get rightfully recognized however, so I'd choose the first option.

shit i wanted to post before thomas and Ant so I could say that.
you both suck xP.

it is 200 points, or every other rep power point. which is the same thing.

and I've got most of my rep from good posts ^.^
I say most because there are some from rep 4 rep

I can honestly say I've never asked for rep.

Rep should be earned not passed out.

I hardly give rep, nor do I expect it to be returned in favor. Once in a while I do get a thanks, or a reply to something I had said.

I like to give rep when I think someone deserves it. I've never traded rep for rep though. I think it gets harder to get rep as your score gets higher because other people think you dont need it as much.

Who ever actually thinks about giving rep though...

I obviously win the rep competition...

I've got a rep question. I know the green blocks are positive and the red a negative but what are the purple one. I got one that's purple and I can tell by the comment that they meant it to be negative.

So I suppose they just don't have any rep?

Yeah, the purpley grey ones are neutral. It's when someone either has zero rep power, or has chosen to disable rep.

Thanks. I figured they had no rep due to the fact that they spelled sarcasm wrong.

Lesson: Sarcasm has 3 syllables not 4.

Lol, I give rep all the time. Me having a lot of rep to give nor the recipient already having very much (or very little) rep never really crosses my mind. Also, I've never friended anyone in exchange for rep. Any and all rep I've received has come from awesome posts.

I think I have the answer to the OP's question.

2 blocks at 100 points
3 blocks at 200 points
4 blocks at 300 points
5 blocks at 400 points
6 blocks at 500 points
7 blocks at 700 points
8 blocks at 900 points
9 blocks at 1100 points
10 blocks at 1300 points
11 blocks at 1500 points
