She doesn't believe me? Should I just let her believe what she wants or do something about it.

Was she angry when you tried to tell her? Mabey you should let her know that you trusted her enough to tell her and that you wouldn't joke about something like that. If she still doesn't believe you, just leave it alone and mabey she'll finally believe you.

In time she will come to accept it, but right now just let her think it through because at the end of the day, your the one who knows who you are, no matter if she doesn't believe it don't let that affect you, give her time to adjust and things will be okay, if she still doesn't believe it, then tell her a again in a tone that shows you mean it. Or just leave it for a while.
