Its a beautiful part of the country and really not very well known for tourism. St Leonard is a really nice small country town. The day we went to Arnac-Pompadour it was about 35C, so hot that we just didnt want to be outside, it was back to the car and the bliss of the aircon asap!

mhm, well I guess I learnt how to handle an slr with film and I do still have a very good 35mm SLR. Actually I would recommend anyone wanting to learn the basics to start with a film camera because there's less ability to cheat - you really want to get the shot right first time. The other big advantage is that you can pick up a quality film SLR and lenses on ebay at absolutely give away prices these days as everyone's switched to digital.
I do find the ability to switch the ISO setting up or down for different light levels on a digital to be a most wonderful feature however, and manipulating the raw images can be quite fun.

Beautiful pictures. I'm jealous of all of you in the UK, you're so much closer to all those countries. It seems like everyone I've known who's from the UK has gone to at least one foreign country. The closest we have over here are Canada (which is hardly a foreign country, they're not a whole lot different), and Mexico (which is sketchy depending on where you go). Other than that, everything's pretty far away. Although I suppose Alaskans could hop over to Russia easily enough...
Anywho! Back on topic! xP Those are some beautiful shots, like I said. Very nice.
