He's gay? Hm. I need to pay more attention. No matter what we do they're still gonna complain. He is right. It is discrimination. Assholes. They need to chillax.

Because people complain about things they don't like...just like why you're complaining about people complaining.

Adam Lambert's gay kiss on stage gets 1,500 complaints
Some viewers were outraged over Lambert's (left) performance
American Idol star Adam Lambert's performance at Sunday's American Music Awards has prompted more than 1,500 complaints by viewers.
During the closing act, the openly gay singer simulated sex on stage with a back-up dancer and kissed a male musician on the mouth.
Lambert told US network CNN that the kiss was "in the moment".
ABC said the number of complaints was "moderate". The show's producers have declined to comment.
Lambert, who performed his debut single For Your Entertainment, said that if people had been upset by his performance that it is a "form of discrimination and it's too bad".
He added: "I had fun, my dancers had fun, the audience that was in the Nokia [Theatre] had fun.
"Anybody else who was watching it and enjoying it, thank you for being entertained."
'Tasteless'
The Parents Television Council (PTC), a media pressure group which campaigns against "indecent" content on US television, posted a statement on its website calling the show "tasteless" and "vulgar".
President Timothy Winter said members were "outraged".
He added: "They just can't believe the nature of the content, the explicit nature, and how much graphic content there was."
Lambert's kiss recalled the MTV Video Music Awards moment in 2003 when Madonna and Britney Spears briefly kissed on stage.
And in 2004, Janet Jackson exposed her right breast during the Super Bowl half-time show.
The "wardrobe malfunction" prompted more than 500,000 complaints.

Not as many and it wasn't publicized like this it's a double standard in america, it's okay to be gay as long as they're both girls.

I admit it was shocking but there's no need to complain. I bet most of them were from parents trying to shield their children from the world and what's in it.

Seriously? I watched it and I think people are overreacting. I've seen worse things at the back of the super market :l

Well those parents are jackasses. Bi-sexuality is indecent? Smart move "PTC"

I happen to remember a rather great amount of publicizing when Brittany Spears did it. I bet you there were 1500 complaints about that too.

The main difference is the crowd...Britney and Madonna were on MTV...Adam was on ABC. MTV crowds are rather liberal and generally more accepting of things because they are ignorant youth. ABC's audience is much different than MTV's.

I doubt any of you even know WHY he did that.
He wanted to prove that there is a double-standard among performers... females are allowed to push the envelope (the infamous Madonna and Britney thing), but males get criticism for that. That's what he was trying to prove. That's it. People are overreacting so much about this, and it's not even a big deal. If anyone who writes articles for the internet or whatever had actually paid any attention to his career at the Zodiac shows PRIOR TO IDOL, they would have known that he performed in such a manner. Honestly, I thought Shakira's was worse, inappropriate-wise... see what Adam was getting at about this whole double standard thing yet?

Zelda I doubt he did it for that reason if he did then he would have said it instead of...
mouth.

He was simply caught up in the moment he was a drag queen and a lot of them kiss guys during some of their performances.

I also don't think it was the kiss that people found horribly lewd...from what I've seen, the complaints were about him shoving a guys face into his crotch.

I don't like him because he shoves his sexuality into peoples faces, and makes all of us LGBT people look like sex maniacs.

Too bad for people such as yourself then that these are the sort of things that make our world what it is, and hiding them and shoving them into a closet (pun very much intended) doesn't make them go away.

One thing is being openly gay the other one is going up to ppl getting naked and fucking someone in front of them. The kiss really I don't care bout that, people have the right to express themselves in public but there's a limit to everything and it should be respected.
