Does anyone know of any decent castle building/civilisation building games similar to Stronghold?

You can do Age of Empires series, made by Ensemble who made Age of Mythology, but AoE came first. Empire Earth is one, as well. But I mean, Stronghold is unique and is way different than the ones listed. I want to say TotalWar series, but thats real-time strategy mixed with turn-based.

But Stronghold is AMAZING, why would you need another game???

I will make sure to check Age of Empires games, even if theyre not very similar they sound worth checking out. I will check out Total War too as it does look good, thanks!

I have just had a look at Stronghold Kingdoms before and I guess I will have to wait and make do till that is out :D

Try Age of Discovery or Tropico 3.

But they're far more city-based.

Civiliazation is similiar but it takes a long time and it isn't as fun as age of mythology

I suggest Age of Empires. Been my personal favorite for years.

Im getting Age of Empires this Monday so hopefully it will be good! I played Tropico 3 the other day and whilst it was fun, I just couldnt get past the second level of the campaign.

What about Sins of a Solar Empire? I don't know if thats the kind of game you are looking for, but you build your Army like Age of Empires and it is basically the same except it is in the distant future. I love it :)
