As terrible as this may sound, why is this of any relevance to you? If you broke up with him, why is his ex approaching you to tell you this? Is she asking for advice or is she simply spilling her personal life out to you? I'm just confused as to why she approached you. If I were you, I would gently break away from her. Comfort her and make it known that you're sorry for what happened to her, and that whats-his-face is a jerk, but that you don't want to get caught up in that drama. Trust me, pull out of this now, and you'll save yourself a hell of a lot of energy.
