View Full Version : What's wrong with me?

I'm 15, I think sleep's an absolute waste of time. I only sleep every couple days, and when I do sleep it's only for a few hours, waking up at 2 am. On weekends I however sleep until I'm not tired anymore. I'm not for sure if this sleeping pattern is affecting me since I've been doing this since about last march. I guess I feel tired quite a bit of the time.

Also... it takes me forever to accomplish anything. Mostly why I don't sleep. I feel really depressed if I'm not accomplished.
I get really distracted, even at something like whistling or clicking tongue. I also spend the first half of my afternoon after school to talk with friends since I can't later, so I get out of the studying mindset.

I've been forgetting to eat too, since I cook my own meals. I don't feel like eating unless I'm really really hungry... sometimes after a couple days.

THANK YOU SOOO SOOO MUCH for reading all that. I need your help, I think.

Gaw... haha it's clear to me now... I'm an idiot... I can't concentrate because I'm nto eating or sleeping. Maybe I'll start eating, but not sleeping. I hate sleeping.

Sorry... I know I should have edited my old post

If you're bipolar then you can often avoid sleep, for how long depends on the person, the individual case and the mood/s.

That's purely speculation so don't take that as gospal. I wish people would realise that although people are going through a lot of things here and have relevant experiences and inside speculations, we aren't doctors. I believe people probably expect too much, so I wouldn't get your hopes up you know? See a doctor if this persists and you think you may have a problem of some sort.

It sounds like you have got yourself into a negative spiral. Eating properly is definitely something you should be doing. Your sleeping patterns leave a lot to be desired too tbh.

If you eat and sleep properly then you will feel a lot better in yourself - you'll be able to concentrate properly, you won't feel so tired and you will be able to do things you enjoy over the weekends.

And since bipolar was mentioned, I'd like to say that the decreased need for sleep accompanies the manic episodes which the OP appears to show no signs of experiencing.
