Forsaken Everlasting
Streams of light cast into the horizon,
as far as the naked eye can see
Reaching to beyond the very end of world
Without a shadow in sight,
the lifeless plains are revealed in gentle reverence.
Embrace the beauty of spirit
Buried beneath sand and time, the forsaken
Whose whispers carried through the wind in a diminishing forest
To be drowned out by powerful cries
Emitted through space and substance unknown.
Vanishing footsteps once walked these very shores,
Swept clean and anew by the rise and fall of tide
Never again to accompany a disgraced Earth.
