Where did this all start?
Why is it a rising epedemic?
Will a cure ever be found?
What are scientist doing to help?

I'm sorry, this really isn't about puberty :( Then again, we don't have any place to post this in the site really...hmm *ponders*
I'll answer your questions anyway. :D
1)Which Gender and Sexual Orientation is more at risk of getting HIV/AIDS? Most likely in gay men, because unportected anal sex is a sure-fire way.
2)Where did this all start? Some think it might be from comet dust or something...Awful illigal aliens! :P
3)Why is it a rising epedemic? Sex is fun, and people like to do it ALOT. Unprotected sex is the leading transfer of HIV/AIDS
4)Will a cure ever be found? I read in the Advocate news magazine for the GLBT community that there is this cocktail (lol). It is said to cure it for some, and I'll grab that issue a bit later...
5)What are scientist doing to help? I think they're doing all they can, trying to find cures while trying to treat some people in Africa and porvide them with food ect.
6)How can you get HIV/AIDS? Sexual intercorse and transfer of blood. Always use a condom (but I think it's ok if you're married and no ones cheating) If someone else has a cut, always use gloves. Never get near a stranger's blood. If you have some blood on you that isn't yours, then do not touch your eyes, mouth, or any exposed spots. The best thing to do is to wash it off imidiately!

tough thing.
ill answer number 1.
the gender most likely to get it if you ask me is female's. I only say that because I do not see how a male can get HIV/AIDS from a female. Where would it enter the male other than the pee hole. Besides that I stand by my decision i say women but you should try research because all your doing is asking teens.... Don't rely on others to do your stuff for you. It would be much faster doing research, because people arent always on and arent always interested in certain threads.

tough thing??
What you say is true TeenInNeed, but be a little nicer! :) I gave him a link to Wikipedia and that has some links to other HIV/AIDS sites.
You can get HIV/AIDS from a woman, because of the vaginal fluid. Vaginal fluid is a natural liquid that prevents friction during sex.
HIV is transmitted through direct contact of a mucous membrane or the bloodstream with a bodily fluid containing HIV, such as blood, semen, vaginal fluid, preseminal fluid or breast milk.
Sorry if I made this too much about sex.

It started when scientists were experimenting with chimp kidneys in order to produce an oral vaccine for polio, the CIV(chimp immunodeficiency virus)spread to humans through the vaccine. It quickly spread because nobody had any clue that it even existed. Don't worry about your vaccines though, they don't use that anymore. In fact, we're pretty lucky that particular vaccine didn't catch on.

Which Gender or Sexual Orientation is at more risk? Gays are at the same risk as females even though most people these days for some reson think gays will have it more
Where did this all start? LIke Fruit said, in the 70s in USA
WHy is it a rising epidemic? Unprotected sex and uneducated people not knowing the risks
Will a cure ever be found? They have lots of foundations funding the research and i have even heard that they have something that could kill HIV but they're not sure if its ready to be put in humans.
How can u get HIV/AIDS? through transmision of bodily fluids: Semen, Vaginal Secretions, Breastmilk and Blood. Saliva cant transfer it because it isnt dense enough

gays are more likly to get it then stright cuples.
why?
because the main form of aids spreading is anal sex.
this is because the semenal fluid mixes with the cuts in the anus during anal sex.
really nasty.
but vaginal sex can also transfer it but its unlikly the guy could get if from a girl.
it started in the 70's because of the monkey thing.
it would be nice to get a cure for aids, cancer, all these things, but people make so much money off of the illnesses that i doubt they would allow a cure.
sad, but true.
science has been learning about genetics allot.
maybe this new road will allow some medical growth.

I dont know if you know that at the end of last year there was a documented case of a British man who tested positive for the virus and then tested negative.
Here are a couple of links to show im not bullshitting.
If you research it, you might find out more about the progress made towards finding a cure.
