Gay roumors

Hey ,
I'm 15 and in the uk, over the last month a number of roumors have been spread around my school. All of which suggesting I am gay . This is not the case (unfortunatly.. Lol). But I am curious.

I am not sure how to deal with it all. Has anyone else had bad roumors ?

no, and there isnt much you can do apart from follow the general UK school rules lol:

1) Ignore it, don't retaliate violantly
2) Assure people, calmly, that you are not gay
3) If it continues seek help from staff
4) Stay happy, if you are confident it's not true then life goes on and they are just childish

just be like its not true. im just curious and i bet most of the guys where you live are too. im curious. most guys are. its no big. it will blow over. dont worry about to much.

I used to get called gay too but then I started high school and I changed my look now I'm one of the kool kids now! So yeah maybe it's how you dress I changed my entire look now the girls are pretty much all over me! So yeah consider changing your look and maybe it'll go away. Either that or they might be jealous that you got girls talkin to you.

don't worry about it. in yr 7 there was this girl who was jealous coz i got a better mark in dt than me so she confronted me and said she was going to tell everyone i touched her arse. It was weird coz none of the boys believed her but the girls did - it blew over eventually. If you can get a few people on your side, everyone else will think its just rumours. It will change from something people believe, to something tease you for mockingly until it eventually completely blows over.

I had the same problem before i even started 7th grade. My only suggestions would be to ignor it, and if one kid takes it way to far (assaulting, harassment, etc...) then tell a staff member.

being gay isn't a bad thing, lol i don't understand why this is used this to bully people, best thing u can do is calmly state your not gay and leave it at that, the more upset u get by them calling u gay the more they will persist and the more u will enforce the negative stereotype about being homosexual

ignore it, don't even react. just don't care in general. but do try to not to act gay, it would only add fuel to the fire.

to be honest all of you who say that the rumors will pass have never had this happen to you...and if you did... then i am sorry and you are one lucky kid.

but to th o.p. i have in fact and still am going through this. it started in 6th grade and i aqm half way through 10th grade, i know how it feels and all i can say is surround yourself with people who would never say this. and for a while you may start to think that these jerks calling you gay are right. you may think that you are gay...i did for awhile. until i saw a vagina...but that is beside the point. just overall ignore it. its all you can do...that or kill them...but then you go to jail. if you ever need to talk to someone pm me.

for the record i have no problem with gay people or people being gay. i envy anyone who is gay bc they have the strenght to live in this world the way they are.

I never said that it would go away... what iamvampire said only gets some people to shut up. I have half a school that thinks i am gay, and half a school thinks that i fuck my best friend(girl) 27/7

You say unfortunately LOL does that mean you like guys?
People pick up on stuff like this especially if you make comments like that.
If your definitely not interested in guys then say so and behave normally ignoring the children along the way and stay happy. If it gets to much seek an adults help.

You should just ignore them. If they continue to harass you, tell a staff member.
