This isn't about an eating disorder.

Do you have to weigh more in order to play, or do you just think that weighing more will make you better at football? While a lot of football players are kinda big, it's not a necessity. I know athletic guys who have done just fine as football players. (When I say athletic I mean athletic body type. Fairly lean but still strong and in shape.) Focus on practicing for the try-outs, and getting in shape. Get used to running, that kind of thing. You need to have the necessary skills and be able to keep up with the team more than you need to be above a certain weight.

Just work out. I'm really skinny and gained 5 pounds of muscle in 2 weeks of lifting weights.

To gain muscle you will have to consume excess calories, with lots of protein involved, while working out. Take your average daily metabolism and eat a couple of hundred calories more than it requires each day, while ensuring you're getting lots of protein (the ideal b eing 1-1.5 g/lb protein/body weight).

If you're just looking to gain weight, and don't care what kind it is... just eat a lot.

Spot on really. I wouldn't do the second option and dirty bulk. I'd clean bulk if I were you, just be patient and don't expect too much too quickly. Keep at is, consistency is key and that goes for diet/training.

Going to what Jessi says; big isn't always better. Focus on training on aspects of your game that you'll need for the position you play. Basic things in football like sprints, explosive power, strength training are all important as far as individual aspects go.

if you want to gain weight you want to gain muscle especially for football so I would suggest working out 4 days a week and after every work out have a protien shake with one scoop of whey protien and 2 scoops of a mass gainer like iso mass extreme gainer. plus have a healthy diet with healthy calories, so eat salad, chicken, and try to stay away from lots of carbs and soda don't drink soda
