hey, a couple of weeks ago, when my girlfriend was at my house, we were gonna go for a swim and she had her period, so she had to put in a tampon, and she told me after that she popped her cherry. i know what this means, but i was wondering how many other girls have done it aswell

That is slang for losing virginity. Don't think it has anything to do with tampons. At least that's what I think.

The "cherry" is really a girl's hymen, and its a little piece of skin around the opening of the vagina. Usually when a girl has sex for the first time, it breaks and that's what makes a girls first time a little painful. Although if the hymen covers more, it can break during other things (putting in a tampon, masturbation ect.)

Putting a tampon in there can't make her "pop her cherry".
A tampon can break the hymen which is where the blood usually comes from when they lose their virginity.
Lots of things can cause the hymen to break other than having sex.
Masturbation, horse riding, athletics, swimming ect.
