Because it's an issue of the pedo nature. They just don't see it neccessary to post pics of semi nakedness (they as in the mod crew.) It's a safety precausion and VT isn't for showing off your bod.

As Gregory said. But also cause it makes VT seem like MS or FB, with all the pics. Pedos. It's for you're safety.

There is an announcement here (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=54398) which explains the policy on shirtless photos. We've had issues in the past with male members posting photos of themselves which were taken in an attempt to look "sexy", and due to that we've had to really limit the instances in which shirtless photos are allowed.
I'm sorry you weren't PMd when the photos were deleted. Usually whoever deletes the photo will say something to let you know why it was taken down, but sometimes they forget; we're only human.

As all the above said. Shirtless photos, no matter what there intention is, are not allowed. It's a safety precaution.

I've actually never been notified of the removal of my pictures.
Also, in certain cases it's acceptable, like at the beach or pool with friends or family. Just as long as it's still appropriate.

I know the pictures weren't meant to be sexual in any way Bobby, but still, it might be sexual to a pervert.

If the sole purpose is to show you smiling, then take another picture of your face.
Then the pictures shouldn't get removed before of "semi-nakedness"
