Gay Or Not?

I just feel like I need some opinions here. First of all, I'm Zack. I don't know if I'm gay, bisexual, curious or whatever else there is and I'm really confused about my sexuality.
Although I'm not sure what I am, I do know that I like this guy. He is my friend. He has a girlfriend and they've been going out for over a year now. But I think he might be gay or bisexual. Here are some of my suspicions:

1) I was in all of his classes last year and I noticed that he seemed to frequently get boners in class. I am in gender separated classes, so it's all boys all the time.

2) One of my classmates called someone a fag (as an insult), and he said, "That's not right to say that."

3) We both agreed on the fact that most awesome people are bisexual lol. (He doesn't know I like boys, though.)

4) The biggest sign is that I got a boner in class (not at all random lol) and he stared at it. He said nothing. And a few minutes afterwards, he went to the bathroom.

5) We were talking about how he's been with his girlfriend for over a year, and, in a joking way, he said "I still have to tell her I'm gay..." I know he was joking, but maybe a hint?


On the otherhand, here are some clues that may prove he's straight:

1) He talks about girls with his other friends.

2) He has a girlfriend.

3) He once said "it's weird to be gay". He never really said that again though.


And last of all, mixed signals:

1) We were talking about Degrassi (that show rocks lol) and talking about how a character says "you can't cure homosexuality". He said "You can't cure homosexuality, it's a choice." Then he turned to one of my classmates and said "Right? It's a choice?" It almost seemed like he was trying to prove something to himself. Especially since he brought it up twice.


Okay, so.... any opinions? Gay or not? Thanks!!!

Well, from what you said. he's either in denial, or not gay.

I personally know someone that doesn't say the word faggot, but they're not gay/bi. I absolutly HATE that word, I hate it.

Yeah, I know people that think bi people are awesome without being bi themselves.

He was wondering why you had a boner in class and had to go to the bathroom....


I doubt he's gay it doesn't sound like it.

He probably is uneducated in homosexuality and that's why he doesn't know if it's a choice or not

My view: Im playing my part as saying he could be straight.

1. He could have been thinking about girls?
2. Some people may not be gay/bi but they might still think its wrong to use that term?
3. Umm... At least you can tell he doesnt hate bi's
4. Well... Maybe he was amazed seeing how (Im guessing) it was a class, so only guys. Then he needed to go to the toilet?

The only true way you'll know is if you ask him, or he comes out as one or the other. But if you're going to ask him, make sure that you're sure you want to know, and that you do it in a nice cool, way. :) If I was helpful, feel free to PM me.

He just sounds like a decent guy with non-homophobic views, that doesnt make him gay or bi. Everyone gets boners in class, random boners are a fact of life for most teen boys, so having a boner in class just means nothing at all.

um well, he seems like a nice guy, and just cause he doesnt use the word fag makes him gay, so i mean all of this can be curiosity
